What characteristics do tropical storms have
Circular
Eye of the storm in the centre
Form over sea
Where do tropical storms form
Form over tropical seas with temperatures that exceed 27*c
In late summer/early autumn when sea temps are at their highest
Over areas of deep water
Low altitudes
Where do tropical storms centre
Large rotating storms centred around an area of very low pressure.
They lose energy when they reach land but by that point have enough energy to be very destructive
What is a drought
A drought is a long period( usually a season or more) of dry weather where less than normal or no precipitation falls.
What is desertification
Process by which land gradually becomes desert

Removal of soil by wind and rain
