A

The age people are getting married is changing. The average age at which people first marry has steadily increased in recent decades. Since 1971 it has risen from 24 to 32 for men and from 22 to 30 for women. There are class differences in age of marriage, with working-class couples marrying, on average, at a younger age than middle-class ones.
