What is state change?
The state of matter can be changed from one to another by adding or removing heat.
What is melting?
a change of a solid to a liquid when heat is applied
What is solidification?
Becomes hard or solid (freeze).
What is evoporation?
Evoporation is reverse vaporization; when the heat is removed from a gas state it will change into its liquid state again.
What is needed for evaporation to take place?
Something needs to be heated for evaporation to take place
What happens in the process of evaporation
When enough heat is added to a liquid (boiling point), the liquid can change to a gas state.
What is needed for condensation to take place?
COOLING!
Give an example of where you would see condensation
Condensation can also be easily seen in the bathroom. When you take a hot bath or turn on the shower water, water vapour forms on the mirror.
