What is the sample?
32 children with asthma
22 males, 10 females
1.5-6 years old
What is the procedure?
Parents of asthmatic children were randomly selected and contacted by their GP. Written informed consent was collected from parents. They were then given the funhaler to see if children were more likely to use that than the standard inhaler
What are 2 findings?
1) 10% of children said they liked using the standard inhaler, this jumped to 68% with the funhaler
2) 10% of parents said the were happy with the standard inhaler, this jumped to 61% with the funhaler

The use of operant conditioning is effective at improving adherence of medication
