What are the three ways to prove something proportional?
- Constant ratio
- Constant multiplier
- Scale factor
Angle angle similarity postulate (AA)
If two angles of one triangle are congruent to 2 angles of another triangle, the triangles are similar
Side-side-side similarity theorem (SSS)
If the corresponding side lengths of two triangles are proportional then the triangles are similar
Side-angle-side similarity theorem
If the side lengths of two triangles are proportional and the corresponding angles are congruent, then the triangles are similar
Triangle proportionality theorem
If a line is parallel to the third side of a triangle, it divides the two sides proportionally
Lines cut by transversal similarity theorem
If three parallel lines intersect two transversals, they divide the transversals proportionally
Dividing ray theorem
If a ray bisects an angle of a triangle then the two halves of the triangle are proportional
