Describe a Gantt Chart
It is a visual representation of timelines for each activity in a project. It plans a sequence of sub-tasks and identifies areas of overlap. It also identifies critical paths (items that are unchangeable).
Define a Work Breakdown Structure.
WBS is the project managers master plan. It is a detailed listing of what will be done, when and by whom.
What is the 100% Rule?
A guiding principle of the Work Breakdown Structure that every detail of the project is assigned and documented.
Describe a Statement of Work
This is a project charter. A documented understanding between the project sponsor and the project manager about the objectives of the project.

What are 3 types of change that have different management approaches? (EIR)
Evolutionary - natural process
Incremental - proactive (internal) - planned step by step
Revolutionary - reactive (external) and usually immediate
What is change management?
Defining and implementing new standards and behaviors within an organization that supports different ways of work.
(planning/testing/implementing)
What are the 5 steps in the project management cycle?
SPEME
Scope - Objectives, deliverables, stmt of work
Plan - define resources, timeline, budget (GANTT)
Execute - daily progress, info to stakeholders
Monitor - trouble shoot, review, complete sign-off
Evaluate- Assess, evaluate, comment, document.
When would you need project management?
To carefully plan and organize an effort to accomplish a specific, one time task.
