Ch10, B cell development Flashcards
Development:
State the development of B cells using the following words: AG-independant phase, Naive B cell, encountering Ag (what happens).ss
ss
Put these terms in order:
Common lymphoid progenitor, Pre-B, Mature B, Pro-B, Immature B, Expression of IGD and IGM, migration to lympoid follicles
s
What occurs in Pro-B and Pre-B and immature B stages?
Pro-B heavy chain rearrangement, Pre-B is light chain rearrangement, immature B has now committed to antegenic speceficity and produces IGM, only functional once both IGM and IGD are presented.
Testing of B cells in bone marrow to ensure they work right, 3 possible outcomes.
1) Clonal deletion of strongly autoreactive cells through apoptosis (central tolerance)
2) receptor editing
3) anergy- induction of none responsiveness to further stimuli.
