Wetland
Is perdically under water
Plankton

Nutrient-rich area near the shores of lakes and rivers

The bottom of a pond or lake which is inhabited by decomposers, insect larvae, and clams

The increase in the amount of nutrients in an aquatic ecosystem
Estuary
An area where fresh water from a river meets salt water from the ocean
Salt marsh
In estuaries, this is where river deposit their load of mineral rich mud
Mangrove swamp
Are found in tropical and subtropical zones.
Barrier island
As the one in often run parallel to sandy shoes.
Coral reeff
Limestone ridges built by tiny coral animals called coral polyps and the algae that live inside them
