arthralgia
condition of joint pain,usually 1st symptom of joint or bone disease
ataxia
inability to coordinate muscles during a voluntary activity
atrophy
reduced muscle size due to disuse
bradykinesia
abnormally slow movement, sign of an underlying bone, muscle or nervous disorder
decalcification
abnormal reduction of calcium in bone, a sign often caused by hormonal disorder upsetting calcium balance between bloodstream & bone
dyskinesia
difficulty in movement, sign of musckuloskeletal disorder.
dystrophy
A general symptom of progressive muscle weakness that is inherited.
tenodynia
tendon pain, common symptom of “weekend athletes” usually minor injury to one or more tendons lasting weeks or months, if its intense may indicate tearing of the tendons that reqire medical intervention
achondroplasia
abnormal lack of growth of long bones, dwarfism abnormally short limbs & stature
ankylosis
condition of crooked, joints are abnomally stiff & movement is difficult, may follow another disease such as arthritis
DJD degenerative joint disease
general term describing disease of joints in which the cartilage undergoes degeneration, progressive gets worse articular cartilage degrades & often replaced w/ bone Arthritis is the most common form of DJD.

osteoarthritis (OA)
common condition as people age, the joint strucutures become worn over time and gradually replaced by bone
rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
an autoimmune disease in which joint structures become eroded by the action of the body’s own white cells
arthrochondritis
joint disease,the articular cartilage w/in synovial joints inflames resulting in joint pain during movements, usually temporary, caused by local infection.
bunion
an abnormal enlargement of the joint at the base of the big toe caused by inflammation of a bursa near the big toe.
bursitis
inflammation of a bursa (purse or sac)
carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS)
repetitive stress injury of the wrist
carpoptosis
aka “wrist drop”, weakness of the wrist resulting in difficulty supporting the hand.
cramps

a condition that causes skeletal muscle degeneration, which results in progressive muscle weakness and deterioration,
epicondylitis
the epicondyles are small bony elevations on the humerus near the elbow joint, this area becomes inflamed, usually due to injury.
fibromyalgia
disease of unknown origin that produces widespread pain of musculoskeletal structures of the limbs, face, trunk. some evidence may be due to sleep deprivation.
