Furuncle
Local swelling of the skin caused by an abscess of a hair follicle
Induration
Hard area of the skin, usually from excessive collagen or calcium
Jaundice
Abnormal yellow coloration of the skin and eyes> usually liver or gallbladder disease (abnormal release of bile)
Keloid
Overgrowth of scar tissue that forms an elevated lesion
Laceration
Cut with an irregular surface, if more than one inch, requires stitches
Macule
Discolored flat spot on skin (freckle) (damaged skin)
Nevus
Mole
Pallor
Abnormally pale skin caused by decreased blood flow
Papule
General term for any small solid elevation on the skin
Petechiae
Small red or purple dots resulting from a ruptured blood vessel in the dermis
Pruritus
Itchy skin
Purpura
Purple-red skin usually resulting from a hemorrhage
Pustule
General term for elevated area filled with pus
Ulcer

A small elevation of the epidermis that is filled with fluid

Temporary itchy elevation of the skin, often w a white center (usually from an allergic reaction)
