What are Values?
Values are convictions of what an individual believes is right or wrong. What they consider preferrable.
What are Value Systems?
A hierarchy of what individuals values in terms of their intensity.

How can we assess Cultural Values?
We can use one of two frameworks -Hofstede's Framework: Breaks down national cultures into 5 distinct dimensions. =Power Distance =Individualism/Collectivism =Masculinity/Feminity =Short-Term/Long-Term Focus =Uncertainty Avoidance =Indulgence/Constraint

How are values changing in the workplace?
The workforce is expanding with both generational and cultural differences.
On the generational end, the Baby Boomers, Gen X, and Millennials are butting heads on dominant work values.
On the cultural end, due to globalization people from different cultural backgrounds are now working closely together within an organization
What is an Attitude?
An attitude is an evaluative statement, either good or bad about people, objects, or events. Usually reflecting how we feel about something.
What are the components of an attitude?
- Cognitive Component: A description or belief of the way things are
- Affective Component: The emotional or feelings segment of an attitude
- Behavioural Component: An intention of how to behave towards a person or thing
What are some Attitudes that affect organizational performance?
- Job Satisfaction
- Organizational Commitment
- Job Involvement
- Perceived Organizational Support
- Employee Engagement
