- local anesthesia, remain still, try to not cough even though the urge may come
- after the procedure-cough to prevent atelectasis
- get chest xray for high risk of pneumothorax
Definition

collapsed lung
Kussmaul Respirations
rapid, deep, labored breathing at a consistent pace
(is a medical emergency)
hyperventilation

What is FVC and what is it for
- forced vital capacity
- measure the maximum volume of air exhaled during forced expiration

(such as rupture of hyperinflated alveoli)
epinephrine drug class
alpha and beta adrenergic agonists
montelukast med class
leukotriene receptor agonist
(opens airway)
salmeterol med class
long acting beta 2 adrenergic agonist
ipratropium med class
bronchodilator
flovent med class
