What is a delta?

A

A place where a river breaks up into many smaller rivers before going into the ocean.

What was special about the Nile river?

A

Every year it flooded. The river runs South to North. So when we talk about upper Egypt it is actually talking about the southern part that is up on mountains. And lower Egypt is North in the delta.

What did Set use to trick his brother?

A

He had a coffin made just to fit Osiris then said whoever could fit into it would win it. When Osiris laid down in the coffin Set slammed it shut and threw it into the Nile.

What happened when Isis found Orisis in the coffin.

A

He was dead. She cried and the Nile cried so much that it dried up. She mummified him and he came back to life. Then the Nile overflowed.
