What is an assistive device?
Helps residents learn to adapt to disabilities, helps them with ADL’s.
Explain nursing assistant’s role
Bathing, grooming, helps with elimination needs, ROM, ambulation, transferring resident from bed to chair, vital signs, meals, back rubs, mouth care, dress/undress, changing linen.
What is empathy?
Identifying with the feelings of others.
What is sympathy?
Sharing in the feelings and difficulties.

Line of authority and helps to make sure residents get proper health care.
