an individual shows consistent, rigid, unhealthy patterns of thinking, functioning and behaving

- difficulty perceiving and relating to others
- difficulty relating to different situations
- experience inflexible behaviours
psychotic disorders
cause abnormal thinking and/or behaviour and individuals are unable to distinguish the imaginary from reality
symptoms of psychotic disorders
-issue communicating
-withdrawn from society
-live in a work of delusions, hallucinations and confused thinking
-episodes of psychosis
