Steps to avoid groupthink
- everyone is an impartial decisionmaker
- accept criticism of your own actions

- Assign two or more groups to work on the problem individually
- Assign a member to play devil’s advocate
- Break into sub groups
- Review threats/weaknesses
- Offer last chance sessions where members can air reservations

- Noise influences accuracy of transmission
Accurate communication depends upon the sender, receiver, noise and channels.
