Depresses the fixed hyoid when unfixed.
Elevates thyroid when fixed

Depresses the thyroid cartilage

Depresses elevates hyoid bone, tenses deep cervical fascia during forced respiration
Geniohyoid
Ventral
Elevates unfixed hyoid bone, fixed helps depress mandible
