Truncal - Heel to toe test. pt will fall when trying

TESTS FOR CEREBELLAR APPENDICULAR CO-ORDINATION

• Slap hand in the other fast
• Tap foot as fast as possible
• tap fingers to thumb fast
• finger to finger then finger to nose
• heel, shin test overshoot

Romberg Test

Answer 2

Assesses for joint position sense and proprioception.

Feet together and close eyes. If they fall it is positive and it is a propriceptive problem, sensory.

If the person is ataxic and the rombergs test is not positive then it is cerebelllar in nature
