Centre of mass Flashcards

1
Q

What is a centre of mass

A
  • point of concentration of mass (the point of balance)
  • centre of mass is around the navel (slightly lower for women)
  • As the body moves, so does the centre of mass
  • E.g. Raising your arm, raises the centre of mass

Q

How does the area of the support base affect the stability ?
