It is a relatively common infection, affecting all racial and ethnic groups
A higher incidence of cellulitis in individuals older than 45 years

How does cellulitis develop?
A
Cellulitis can develop after the the skin is cut has a laceration, insect bite, or has a puncture wound. . Organisms on the skin gain entrance to the dermis and multiply to cause cellulitis.
