Q

Learn how to safely carry and set up a microscope

A

To carry a microscope you need to hold it by the handle and place the other hand at the bottom of the microscope.
To set up a microscope first you need to plug the microscope, then you need to get a slide and place it on the stage and then place the clips on top of the slide carefully, finally you can look at your slide with the eyepiece lens but it won’t be a clear image so you will need to adjust the coarse focusing and fine focusing wheel to have a clear image

Q

Learn how to prepare slides of plant and animal cells.

A
  1. Cut an onion
  2. Use tweezers to peel a thin layer from the inside
  3. Spread out the layer on a microscope slide
  4. Add a drop of iodine solution to the layer
