Cell Injury Flashcards
1
Q
What can an injurious stimulus in a cell cause?
A
Decreased ATP
Membrane damage (mitochondria, plasma, lysosome)
increased Ca2+
increased ROS
2
Q
Compare necrosis and apoptosis
A
Necrosis: passive, haemorrhage, swelling, karyolysis (chromatin dissociation)
Apoptosis: active, membrane bound blebs of cell contents, shrinkage
