A

Y90 (bradley approach)

delegates control authority to CEF fr SVFR flighrs at and below 2,000in CEF D airspace CEF must coordinate with West Departure for SVFR into and out of D airspace from 235-295 degrees.

When CEF uses the term local training for C5 (heavy) aircraft what does that mean?

A

the aircraft will be cleared via CEF-MEANY-CEF at 3000 (seeing this on the strip indicates local training and is how the aircraft is cleared)

when the phrase local training is used all aircraft departing RWY 23 will be issued a 360 heading and 3,000 feet

What is area 24?

A

area 24 is the area of CEF class D aiirspace between RWY23/05 at CEF and RWY 6/24 at BDL it is used when bradley is on a RWY 24 flwo to allow for descent down to 2,500 in the area, when area 24 is released to Y90 CEF must not climb aircraft above 2,400 wihtout Y90’s consent.

If a low altitude alert goes off on an aircraft inbound to CEF you must call the tower and advise them.
