CBT - Flight Instruments Flashcards
Get familiar with the flight instruments of the E-jet family
EICAS
The EICAS will be decluttered if the following conditions are met:
The Aircraft is flying in a clean configuration (flap and gear up) for more than 30 seconds and none of the decluttered parameters have been exceeded. If these conditions are met, the following items are decluttered?
- Oil pressure
- Oil temperature
- Low pressure vibration
- High pressure vibration
- Gear position
- Flap position
- Slat position
- Speed brake position
- APU indication
- The pitch trim scale the green takeoff band will extinguish. .
Pushing the EICAS full button displays all of the decluttered items
Integrated Electronic Standby System
The IESS is powered as soon as the battery 1 is switched to ON and battery 2 is switched to AUTO.
Then, the IESS starts its alignment phase, which requires about X seconds to be completed
90 seconds
Air Data Systems
How many ADSPs are located on the airplane?
AOM Volume 2 - 14-09-10 “PROBE LOCATION”
The are 4 ADSPs located on the nose of the airplane.
* ADSPs 1 and 2 are symmetrically located and are further forward and lower on the nose than the symmetrically located ADSPs 3 and 4.
Air Data Systems
How many TAT probes are located on the airplane?
Total Air Temperature
AOM Volume 2 - 14-12-10 “AIR DATA SMART PROBE/TAT HEATING SYSTEM”
A total of 4 smart and 2 TAT probes are installed on the nose fuselage section of the airplane. Each probe has a dedicated heater.
Standby Compass
The Magnetic Standby Compass is a single, independent unit mounted on the center windshield structure below the overhead panel. It is used as a standby heading source. The Compass has no system interface, but receives power for illumination via bus?.
AOM Volume 2 - 14-09-10 “STANDBY MAGNETIC COMPASS”
28 VDC Essential Bus 1
Radar Altimeter System
The radar altimeter system provides accurate absolute altitude above terrain, decision height annunciation and low altitude awareness from XX to XXXX ft AGL.
AOM Volume 2 14-09-10 - “RADIO ALTIMETER SYSTEM”
-20 ft. to 2,500 ft.
