Q

Why did the Jesus wait to save Lasarus? He wept himself….he loved Mary and Martha…

A

What did he encourage?

Did he want to take the problems and difficulties from us?

It’s much better to have broken heart than to lose it.

We are called to stand up for Jesus and make sacrifices

Q

What happens with all gifts from God, like youth, attractiveness, health, popularity, love for children?

A

All are eventually taken away.

But they all came from God in the first place.

There is going to be a moment that you lose everything, but you can also can all those gifts back if you follow Jesus.

He gave life for me to have such chance. Don’t screw it up!

Q

How one should conduct himself/herself to please the God?

A

I need to make It worthy to God, sacrificing his son for me.

God put his son through a lot of suffering so the scripture was fulfilled and our sins have chance to be forgiven. He didn’t have to do that. Jesus certainly could have comfortable experience somewhere else!

Q

Leonard Cohen about conflicts surrounding us:

A

The only moment that you can live here comfortably in these absolutely irreconcilable conflicts is in this moment when you embrace it all and you say “Look, I don’t understand a fucking thing at all - Hallelujah!”. That is the only moment that we live here fully as human beings”

Q

Father Schmitz on waiting and silence

A

Waiting purifies

Silence magnifies:

sometimes in silence you may be more anxious or lonely —> it is because feelings are magnified; there is no distraction
