• The soil is very thin and poor as it is mountainous so it is very difficult to grow crops
• Land is very steep so it is difficult to build on.
• People have struggled to access clean water and electricity

• Yes, it is firstly destroying the environment. Everest has been described as the biggest rubbish dump in the world
