- Issue tender letter with appropriate instruction for tender queries, tender return, site visits etc - Manage tender queries through a master TQ tracker, made sure all tenderers received TQ responses - Ensured all tenderers received any tender addenda - Arranged mid-tender interviews with Contractors

How did you deal with the 5 week delay?
Advised the Client to issue a Non-Completion to be able to levy LADs, when they didn't want to do this, I ensured the agreement to allow an extension was ratified in the Final Account statement

- Ensured samples were provided - Ensured Design Team were involved in meetings and discussions and happy with the VE

I arranged a meeting with the consultant and M&E Subcontractors to go through the M&E VE proposals so they could accept or reject

- Used Cost Report to track status of Provisional Sums - Assessed when Contractor provided cost breakdown

Where the Contract Completion Date is changed to a later date without the Contractor being charged damages, could be due to factors outside their control or Employer changes

Entitles Contractor to an EoT Examples: Changes, instructions, exceptionally adverse weather, force majeure, deferment of possession of the site

- Non-completion notice - Notice that the Employer may withhold LDs

- Contractor must issue Employer letter detailing Relevant Event and predicted period of delay etc - Employer has 12 weeks to assess the claim and can ask for more substantiation during this time

Genuine pre-estimate of loss suffered by Employer due to the Contractor completing later than the Contract Completion Date
