Warning:
High Voltage.

Voltage is excessive, indicating an alternator voltage regulator failure.

Typically associated with abnormally high Voltage indications on the buses.

Question 5

ESS BUS (Warning)

Answer 5

Warning:
High or Low voltage on Essential Bus.

HIGH Voltage indicates an alternator voltage regulator failure. Associated with M BUS 1/2 Warning.

LOW Voltage indicates Dual ALT failure. Associated with low M1 and M2 Voltages, M BUS 1/2 Caution, and ALT 1/2 Caution (Failure).

Indicates ALT 1 failure.

What you’ll see:
- Low M1 V / Alt 1 current (Amp) indication
- BAT 1 discharge
- ALT 1 Caution (Failure) message

Indicative of Dual ALT Failure.

What you’ll see:
- Low M1 and M2 V / Alt 1 and 2 current (Amp) indications
