What was Meltzoff and Moore’s study for interactional synchrony?
-babies as young as 2 weeks old
-an adult displayed 1 of 3 facial expressions, and the babies response was filmed and labelled by independent observers.
-babies expressions were more likely to mirror those of the adults.
what did Isabella find about interactional synchrony?
-observed 30 mothers and babies together to assess degree of synchrony.
-HIGH levels of synchrony associated with better QUALITY mother-baby ATTACHMENT.
