Tx: IV Ab and Aspirin (one of the only times you will give aspirin to kids)
autoamputation of digits
heavy smoker
buerger disease- thromboangiitis obliterans
intermittent claudication and cold sensitivity (Raynaud)
treatment: stop smoking
Hepatitis B
Vasculitis
Polyarteritis nodosa
tx: corticosteroids +/- cyclophosphamide
Palpable purpura- LE
Arthralgias (most commonly in knees)
Abdominal pain
often follows URI
Henoch-Schonlein purpura
Vasculitis
asthma
Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Churg-Strauss)
p-ANCA/ MPO-ANCA
can have peripheral neuropathy
sinusitis
skin involvement
focal necrotizing vasculitis
Necrotizing granulomas in the lung and upper airway
Necrotizing glomerulonephritis
Granulomatosis with polyangiitis (Wegener)
c-ANCA/ PR3-ANCA
you can also have a saddle nose
sinusitis (upper airway), otitis media, hemoptysis
tx: steroids and cyclophosphamide
vasculitis involving
lung
kidney
skin (palpable purpura)
no nasopharyngeal involvement
microscopic polyangiitis
no granulomas
p-ANCA
