cardio 12 Flashcards
Factor indicate presence of alcoolic cardiomyophaty?
Dilated ventricles Heavy and long duration of alcohl consuption Macrocytic anemia AST>ALT ratio 2:1 Thrombocytopnia
Diagnosis?
Dilated ventricles in echo
Exclusion of other cause
Management?
Alcohol exclusion: reverse the condition
Tachycardia mediated cardiomyopathy presentation?
HF symptom chronic Tachycardia(If atrial should have a rapid ventricular response)
Risk factor?
SVT(Afib,AFlu,AVRT,atrial/junctional tachycardia) with rapid ventricular responce
VTAC
pathophysiology?
chronic tachycardia–LV structural change–LV systolic dysfunction
What is the LV structural change?
LV dilatation
LV hypokinesis
Management?
aggressive rate and rhythm control
atypical future of PE(Other than dyspnia, tachycardia and tachypnea),
Plural efusion(due to infn) Elevated troponin(Due to inducible ischemia) Chest pain exacerbated during inspiration
Aproch ?
Based on walls
High likelely–CT angiography
Less likeley:D-Dimer and if <500 exclude PE
ECG future?
Large S wave in lead I
Large Q wave in lead III
Inverted T wave in Lead II
