Stress free environment
Minimal handling (reduce stress, avoid restriction of chest and neck)
Oxygenation, lung care
Intravenous access
Frequent opportunity for urination, monitor fluid intake and weight
Restircted sodum, palatable diet, controlled calories if obese
Mainteneace of body temperature
Support rest/sleep
Accurate medication
