PETCO2
partial pressure of end-tidal carbon dioxide; a measure of the amount of carbon dioxide present in the exhaled air.
What PETCO2 marker is evidence of ROSC
Abrupt sustained increase…typically >40
Advanced airway in place…rate____ which equals 1 breath every ___ seconds
8-10 breaths per min
H & T’s 10
Hypovolemia Hypoxia Hydrogen ion (acidosis) Hypo/Hyperkalemia Hypothermia Tension Pneumothorax Tamponade, cardiac Toxins Thrombosis, pulmonary Thrombosis, coronary
VF/VT(pulseless)
Shock CPR/IV Epi Shock Amiodarone
When can you consider termination of resuscitation efforts.
Pt remains in Asystole after 3 mg epi or 20min ACLS care rendered
Post resuscitation IV fluid rate
TKO unless hypotension is present.
Post resuscitation bradycardia
Use brady protocol
post resuscitation Pulmonary edema
Use CHF/Pulmonary edema protocol
Post resuscitation hypotension/shock
