Discharge

A

Set up discharge circuit, choose suitbsle values for cappatsncs and resistanc such thst the total discharge you can take like 8-10 readings per 5 seconds, and choose resolutions so that it fits the whole range

Charge usign paralle discharge, then swap the wire from a to b , connected to a resistor and voltmeter, so you can measure voltsge as it discharges

Do every 5s, and then plot ln graphs to find times constsnt

How to show chsrge is equal on series cappacitor

A

Charge to max, remember current will drop to 0

Then use got,esters ti find voltsge on known capacitors

Multiply ti find chwrge, will be the same

This happens because electrons repealed same number are deposited on the other terminal, hence the magentiude of the charge is same, but just OPPSITE I’m sign, and this happens in parallel too, they fall to same charge!

Smoothing ac to dc

A

Remember need diode to remove negative cycles, only allow current one way, and then need cappator too, and it charges every time ac current goes one way and si charged other, set time constsnt larger than frequency of ac current so it smooths out and ripple is low
