1 One day Jesus was standing beside the Lake of Gennesaret and the crowd was pressing in on him to hear the word of God.
1 Un día estaba Jesús a orillas del lago de Genesaret y la gente lo apretujaba para escuchar el mensaje de Dios.
3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little way from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
3 Subió a una de las barcas, que pertenecía a Simón, y le pidió que la alejara un poco de la playa. Luego se sentó, y enseñaba a la gente desde la barca.
8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”
8 Al ver esto, Simón Pedro cayó de rodillas delante de Jesús y le dijo:
—¡Apártate de mí, Señor; soy un pecador!
14 Don’t tell anyone,” Jesus ordered. “Just go, present yourself to the priest, and bring what Moses commanded for your purification, so that it may serve as a testimony to them.
14 —No se lo digas a nadie —ordenó Jesús—; solo ve, preséntate al sacerdote y lleva por tu purificación lo que ordenó Moisés, para que les sirva de testimonio.
21 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees began to think, ‘Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins but God alone?’
21 Los maestros de la Ley y los fariseos comenzaron a pensar: «¿Quién es este que dice blasfemias? ¿Quién puede perdonar pecados sino solo Dios?».
30 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, who belonged to the same sect, complained to Jesus’ disciples:
‘Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?’
30 Pero los fariseos y los maestros de la Ley que eran de la misma secta reclamaban a los discípulos de Jesús:
—¿Por qué comen y beben ustedes con recaudadores de impuestos y pecadores?
33 “Some people said to Jesus:
‘John’s disciples often fast and pray, and so do the disciples of the Pharisees, but yours are always eating and drinking.’”
33 Algunos dijeron a Jesús:
—Los discípulos de Juan ayunan y oran con frecuencia, lo mismo que los discípulos de los fariseos, pero los tuyos se la pasan comiendo y bebiendo.
34 Jesus replied: ‘Can you really require the guests of the bridegroom to fast while he is with them?
34 Jesús replicó:
—¿Acaso pueden obligar a los invitados del novio a que ayunen mientras él está con ellos?
