Purpose - CAPE
Standardized assessment designed to look at QUALITY OF LIFE regarding participation levels in everyday activities outside of school
Provides insight into how to better structure therapy tasks
Domains - CAPE
Quality of life
Activities and participation
Recreational activities, physical activities, social activities, skill-based activities, and self-improvement activities
Population - CAPE
With or without disabilities ranging from 6 - 21 y/o
Advantages - CAPE
Easily read and interpreted by children of different cognitive levels (pictures and words)
Assesses interest across multiple domains
Does not take much equipment
Flexibility in test administration (group or individual)
Disadvantages - CAPE
It can be tedious for a child to answer all 55 questions in one sitting (may take up to 30-45 minutes)
Some items are culturally specific (i.e., playing in the snow)
Cost of 1 test is $44.30 (may not be worth it for the data gained)
