CANRA - substance abuse
In instances where the parents ability to provide for child with adequate care and supervision is solely based on substance abuse must be made to county welfare or probation and not to law-enforcement
CANRA Mandated reporter
Report suspected instances of abuse and neglect within the scope of their profession
CANRA Confidentiality
Confidential and only discussed among agencies receiving or investigating mandated reports or to the DA in a criminal prosecution
CANRA Protection from liability
No mandated reporter who report suspected instances of child abuse neglect will be civilly or criminally liable for any report
CANRA Failure to report
Is guilty of misdemeanor and subject imprisonment and or fine
CANRA DCFS staff
Report immediately to child protection hotline to make a referral
