Divide uncontrollably and form a mass of cells

What are two types of tumours?
- Benign tumours
- Malignant tumours
What are Benign tumours?
Cells are not cancerous and won’t spread to other tissue
What are Malignant tumours?
Cell are cancerous and can spread to other tissues and organs
Where are Benign tumours contained?
usually in a membrane.
Where are Malignant tumours spread?
They spread throughout the body via the blood
How can Maligan tumours form in the body via the blood?
They form secondary tumours.
The survival rate for skin cancer has increased in the last 50 years,
suggest why
- Earlier diagnosis
- Improved treatment
- More cancer screening
- Improved knowledge of risk factors
