Q

Battle of Britain

A

Canada had a squadron and created the RCAF instead of the RAF for this battle. Defending Britain against the Nazis, Hitler made a terrible mistake in doing the Blitz and bombing London, giving the Allies a chance to recover and make new planes. Germany apparently accidentally attacks London, leading the Allies to attack Berlin. This infuriated Hitler so much he carried out the Blitz.

Italian Campaign

A

Canadians used the brand new mouseholing technique to go through cities quickly. This was a major turning point in the war as Mussolini was now gone, and Canada strengthened its reputation as an innovator. The Italians also came to view this as a liberation, not an invasion.
