Camera Work Flashcards
Angle
You can get an idea of who’s the victim just by the angle of the camera.
Framing
Each scene has a frame (lots of frames). Frames are like a boarder/edge. Once a frame is sorted out you can create a scene. Framing is how the camera frames the shot (how close or far away it is from the shot).
Movement
Tracking shot is a camera on a track (filming 100m sprint). Movement is the camera moving.
Camera movement can include:
~ A PANNING shot - where the camera moves from side by side from a fixed axis.
~ A TILT shot - where the camera moves up and down from a fixed axis
~ A CRANE shot - where the camera, mounted on a crane, moves around at a distance about ground level
~ A TRACKING shot - where the camera follows the action, moving along the tracks laid for the purpose, often pulling backwards from a scene
~ A HAND HELD - camera movement, when a person walks around filming (ect project X does). It’s used to make you feel like you’re there. Zooming in is used in hand held.
