A
Shows a very small part of the image

It shows slightly more detail, it can be the whole face, flower etc

A
There is slightly more detail in the background
A person can be seen from the waist up
When there is more than one person, you only see their heads and shoulders
They show the character within their setting

Long shot
A
This is a picture of the whole subject with a fair amount of detail
The full person is show within their setting
A great deal more detail can be determined but less close detail

Extreme long-shot
A
A great deal of information is shown
Very little detail can be discerned as the objects in the picture are too far away
Often used in films to set the scene
