  • As soon after first light as possible
  • Half an hour before sunset
  • Prior to each aircraft movement at night, whenever 30 minutes or more has elapsed since the previous movement

What actions should be taken when concentrations of birds are observed near the runway, taxiways, approach or go-around areas?

A

The ADM is to be informed
ATC shall warm pilots of bird formations or individual large birds reported or observed on or above the manoeuvring area and the extend of any bird dispersal action being carried out

ATC shall pass details to the ADM so that a bird strike report can be filed, and arrange for remains to be removed
