A journey to a holy place.

- It is a time of preparation for celebrating the Incarnation at Christmas.
- It is also a time to prepare for the second coming of Jesus (parousia).

An Advent wreath as the candles symbolize joy, hope, peace, and love and are lit on the four Sundays before Christmas.
