What are management options for Esca?

A
  • no chemical controls, most attention has been paid to prevention of the disease
  • source disease free stock
  • trying new less detrimental pruning techniques
  • not pruning in the rain
  • removing pruning promptly from the vineyard and disinfecting pruning wounds
  • research is continuing into using Biological agents
