What did Monks do in Monasteries?
They used to meditate, write holy books, and help people
Who was the Hinayana?
The Hinayana was a group of Buddhists. They were very strict and believed that amusement was wrong and only Monks could reach Nirvana. Other people could only hope to be Monks in their next lives.
Who was the Mahayana?
The Mahayana was a less strict group of Buddhists who tried to become Buddha themselves. Mahayana’s believed Buddha was a God.

How did Buddhism spread again?
Since in some places Buddhism was still strong they spread it to China and in China, Buddhism started to spread more and the Chinese went to spread Buddhism to different places too
