Fluid present in airways.
Not cleared with coughing.

Ex. pulmonary edema, HF

A
Narrowed segment in respiratory tract present, peripheral.
Heard with inspiration, expiration or both.
~shrill harsh sound
Ex. heard in croup

Wheezing
A
Narrowed or obstructed airway. Due to swelling, secretions, tumors. Can be heard w/o stethoscope.
~high-pitched musical whistle
Ex. asthma
