Aspirate it. If blood filled, biopsy and excise

Core biopsy

Microdochectomy
Breast abscess
Drain and antibiotics

continue breastfeeding. 10-14d fluclox PO if nipple fissure, persisting beyond 12-24hr, systemically unwell

47-72 every 3 years

When do you do a WLE

2ww criteria for breast lump
30+ with a breast lump. EVEN if it sounds like a fibroadenoma they still get 2ww’d
risk factors for breast cancer
BRCA 1, BRCA 2 genes - 40% lifetime risk of breast/ovarian cancer
- nulliparity, 1st preg >30
- early menarche, late menopause
- HRT, COCP
- not breast feeding
- P53 gene mutation
discrete non-tender, highly mobile lumps
common in under 30s
