Breanna Jan 26 Flashcards
crunchy green grapes.
making a sharp noise when bitten or crushed and (of food) pleasantly crisp.
“bake until the topping is crunchy”
(I dunno why grapes can be crunchy though)
Like I said my work is definitely cut out for me today.
used to say that the thing a person needs to do is very difficult, and he or she will have to work very hard to achieve it.
I finished on earlier before I left for the cafe
went to cafe
So I feel fresh and alert for the full day of classes.
If you are alert, you are paying full attention to things around you and are able to deal with anything that might happen
Now I have to tame them with water a little bit.
Also this is what my perm is supposed to look like.
The next step is pinning these bangs back so I don’t undo them.
And my last, and arguably the most important step …
it may be argued (used to qualify the statement of an opinion or belief).
“可以說” -> 我最後的,可以說是最重要的一步
The idea is instead of trying to cram all the information in at once you, you review it in space interval.

It’s just based on the principle that human memory is more likely to retain information that is rehearsed before it’s forgotten. And by spacing out the review of the material over time, you’re giving your brain the opportunity to process and retain the information more long-term.
retain -> continue to have (something)
rehearse ->
1. practice (a play, piece of music, or other work) for later public performance.
2. recite 背誦
space out -> 隔開
But the general rule of thumb is that you start with shorter intervals and then …
I’ve been putting off studying something all week because it’s a little bit dry.
putting off -> postpone
So I know exactly what I can skim through and then I know what to really take note of.
