In reality, we are far more dependent on worms, bacteria and viruses than cars, credit cards and computers. These worms, bacteria and viruses produce our cells and the atmosphere we live in. Without all of them we could not exist.
How much life do Marine Viruses kill?
Marine viruses kill about half the Marine life in the oceans. p. 197.
They kill about 20% of all ocean life everyday!
They make up the atmosphere that we breathe.
If we did not breathe in these Marine Viruses, we could not stay alive.
Do microbes live on and inside you?
p. 197.
You are made up of 10 Trillion or so human cells, [mostly bacteria], but this is the tip of the iceberg.
There are about 100 Trillion other living cells and various microscopic critters living on and inside of you right now as well.
Some one Billion bacteria live on every square centimeter of your skin’s surface.
