What are the common examination findings?
A
BPH - Regular, smooth enlarged prostate
Cancer - Craggy enlarged prostate

What are the investigations?
A
To finish the exam i would like - to do a full abdominal examination including examining for hernias and urinalysis
By the bed - History, obs
Bloods - FBC for infection, U/E for renal function, PSA, Urine MC+S
Other - Maybe US of kidneys, IVU, cytoscopy or biopsy

What is the treatment?
A
Conservative - education about the cause and what is going on
Medical - If BPH can give tamsulosin, if cancer refer to specialist team, catheter
Surgical - TURP or resection
